Dedicated to science-fiction fans – one of the best games in the series, SHADOWGUN, was recently put to the test by me in order to confirm it as a great game, a title that is vying with gamers of all stripes on various forums. What was the result? You can find out by reading this review.
So, having downloaded cache of considerable size (we recommend to get hooked up to a normal network in advance), let’s start testing. First impressions are stunning – graphics! I never thought betnero.sc could do such stunning graphics for the phone! Detailed textures are simply peerless, and specially optimized for android allows all this splendor unfolds on the display of your gadget smoothly and without a hitch.
After assessing the graphics let’s proceed to a brief review of the story. In principle, it is not particularly remarkable. It all revolves around the fact that in the far future somewhere there is a mad scientist (immediately brings to mind a dozen analogies), whose activity is not particularly altruistic. In short, our Dr Mengele’s successor has decided to breed evil humanoid abominations on a distant planet. A powerful corporation didn’t like it very much, so they sent a mercenary there to deal with this nest of vice in their own way. As you have guessed, this mercenary is you.
Controls in the game are implemented according to a standard pattern for touchscreen displays. Using two joysticks (virtual, of course), you move through numerous locations, along the way crushing into minced meat a variety of evil things, which in abundance supplies our not the most good-natured scientist. Opponents tend to shoot at you rather accurately, and you can hide from them in the numerous shelters that are on your way.
Keep in mind, that you won’t be able to hide for long behind them – they collapse very quickly. So fans of slow-moving tactical strategy has no place here! You have to move quickly around the location, just in time to jump for cover, and at the same time do not forget to destroy the next batch of creatures from the evil scientist! That’s why I advise you not to try to increase the difficulty level – at first leave it at a lower level, so you can get accustomed to the peculiarities of control.
There are a lot of weapons here, and they differ slightly from the standard shooter set. You’ll have assault rifles, shotguns and even grenade launchers at your disposal. It’s odd that weapons have changed so little over the centuries, but the developers know better. The only thing I can advise at once – don’t get carried away with the grenade launcher! At first get used to it, it’s easier to blow yourself up than your opponents!
In conclusion, it can be said that the game is excellent, and the money spent on it is absolutely not sorry!
